Quadram Institute Bioscience 

Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB) is a research organisation situated in the Norwich Research Park in the UK with a vision to understand how food and microbes interact to promote health & prevent disease. It is also home to the Food & Nutrition National Bioscience Research Infrastructure (FN-NBRI), which generates and manages national food composition nutrient data as well as data on bioactive compounds in our foods.

Role in the project

The F&N-NBRI team at QIB are mainly responsible for Task 6.5 in the project. We will be estimating the amounts of bioavailable iron and zinc that is being consumed by European populations and explore the impact of transitioning towards more plant-based diets in the future.
