The Max Rubner-Institut (MRI), which is the German Federal Research Institute of Nutrition and Food, focuses its research on consumer health protection in the nutrition sector. Composed of various departments, its overarching task is to advise the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

 

Role in the project

 

Within Zero Hidden Hunger EU, the MRI contributes its own data and expertise in national nutrition monitoring and facilitates the transfer of relevant other representative diet survey data from Germany. Furthermore, it supports the various communication and dissemination efforts, and it helps model scenarios towards a future of micronutrient adequacy throughout Europe.
