EPHA

European Public Health Alliance

The European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) stands as the leading alliance in Europe at the forefront of advocating for better health for all. Comprising a dynamic network of 69 member organisations spanning 18 countries, EPHA operates at the intersection of health and policy, fostering more equitable, evidence-based, and effective solutions. This includes tackling social, commercial, environmental, and political determinants of health. EPHA’s comprehensive approach aims to promote and foster healthy environments, contributing towards a more just and healthy Europe.

Role in the project

EPHA will lead on the analysis of EU policies and legal instruments that aim to address MN deficiencies. Through policy labs and interviews with opinion leaders, EPHA will assess the determinants and barriers of current nutrition policies and dietary practices that promote or prevent MN deficiencies. National surveys and interviews with hard-to-reach groups will be used to further examine social, economic, and environmental factors. EPHA will also use feedback loops to co-design solutions to overcome MN deficiencies and will produce a discussion paper including a policy toolkit to promote discussion at governmental and parliament level and catalyse change.
